Gary Burr

Gary Burr

Owner

Gary M. Burr, CFSP, lives in Bryan, Ohio, with his wife, Amie. They have four children, Andrew Burr, Allison (Jeff) White, Danielle Raub and Andrew (Desiree) Raub. He purchased Krill Funeral Service in 2021. Gary is originally from Oak Harbor, Ohio, and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1993. He has been an Ohio licensed funeral director/embalmer since 1994, was licensed in Indiana in 2000, and received his CFSP designation in 2005. Gary has been very active with the Ohio Funeral Directors Association (OFDA) since early in his career. He served as District 1 Secretary/Treasurer for several years, District President for 12 years and Northwest Regional Director for two years. He was the President of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association for 2019-2020. Gary has chaired and served on several committees including the Ohio Mortuary Operational Response Team (OMORT). He deployed with OMORT to the 2014 plane crash in Paulding County, Ohio, and is a certified trainer with the Ohio Emergency Management Agency. Gary served in the Ohio Army National Guard as a Military Police officer and as an Administrative Clerk from 1987-1993. He served on active duty with the Guard for ten months in 1990-1991. Gary has been active in his community with the Bryan Kiwanis Club and the Bryan American Legion, has served on the Williams County Board of Directors for the American Red Cross and the QUADCO Rehabilitation Center Board for 11 years, and has been working with the Williams County Mass Fatality Planning group for several years.

Amie Burr

Office Manager

Amie L. Burr is a lifelong resident of Bryan and Williams County.  She is a 1984 graduate of Bryan High School. Amie is a highly motivated and energetic professional with over twenty years of management, administrative, human resource, and customer service experience. She was a Manager of Project Management for over 15 years, managing a team of project managers and her own client portfolio. Amie also taught fitness classes and worked at the front desk at the Bryan Area YMCA for over 20 years.  


Amie is an active member of Life Changing Church in Edgerton, Ohio, and was a member of the staff as the Next Steps Coordinator. She has served on several Great Banquet Teams as well as other areas within Life Changing Church.  


Along with being our Office/HR Manager, Amie is the lead trainer and handler for our grief therapy dogs, Bentley and Oakley.  It was her vision to bring them to the funeral home to provide comfort and emotional support to the families we serve. 

Gina N. Murray

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Gina is a newly licensed funeral director and embalmer at Krill Funeral Service and resides in Edgerton. She grew up in Toledo, where she graduated from Whitmer High School, and later pursued her passion for mortuary science at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, graduating in 2022. With a commitment to providing compassionate and professional care, Gina is dedicated to supporting families through their most challenging times. In her spare time, Gina enjoys going thrifting, spending quality moments with her loved ones, including her cat Reno, and embracing the outdoors whenever the weather allows. “I am honored to be a part of Krill Funeral Service and look forward to serving our community with empathy and dedication.” 

Laura McLatcher

Pre-Planning Advisor

Laura is our Pre-planning Advisor with eight years of experience. Laura's focus is Funeral Pre-planning needs and the privilege of helping families to create a memorable experience that honors the lives of their loved ones. With funeral prearrangements on the rise, she can help deliver a highly personalized experience to the families in the community.


"I am very passionate about assisting families with their funeral or cremation pre-planning needs. I believe by prearranging, you can help your family to less the stress and burden in a time of great sadness and grief. Most importantly, family and friends can honor their loved ones in their own special way. I take great pride in knowing I can create your loved one's life story and what their passion/love for life was all about."


Laura and her husband Caleb reside in Fremont, Indiana, with their two sons, Hayden and Carson. caleb is a police officer in Angola, Indiana. Laura enjoys spending time with her family and friends, making memories, taking mini vacations, and enjoying the outdoors. 

Andrew J. Raub

Facilities Manager/Certified Crematory Operator

Andrew Raub, Lives in Toledo, Ohio with his spouse, Desiree. They have one son together Soryn, and also one pet, Glory, a White German Shepard mix rescued from the Toledo Humane Society.


Andrew was born and raised in Bryan and graduated from Bryan High School in 2008.  He has been around the funeral business for over 20 years.  He is very familiar and comfortable with the business in general. “Having family in the business and growing up around it for over 20 years has given me a unique perspective on life, how to handle things with care, and to be more humble.  I’ve always been told I had a kind heart so coming back to the funeral business just seemed natural” he stated. Andrew plans to return to school to become a funeral director in the near future.


In his free time, he enjoys going to the Zoo with his family and tries to stay active in the Arts in Toledo such as in Musical Theater which he has a strong passion for. During his downtime, he also likes to play video games and play with his son, making new memories.

MaKeegan Bailey

MaKeegan Bailey

Funeral Assistant

MaKeegan Bailey is a 2023 graduate of Fairview High School. She is currently attending

Northwest State Community College to obtain an associates degree in Applied Science.

MaKeegan will later transfer to Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science to become a licensed

funeral home director. MaKeegan is the daughter of Michael and Jennifer (Miller) Bailey and an

older sister to Tatum Bailey. In her free time, MaKeegan enjoys biking, hunting, exploring nature

and spending time with friends and family.

Oakley

Oakley

Oakley Burr is one of our grief therapy dogs.  He was born on January 20, 2020 in Defiance and has been part of our family since he was 8 week old. 


Oakley loves children and is a “hugger” who likes to lean into those he is comforting.  He has an extra soft coat that kids just love to pet. 


When he is not working, Oakley enjoys playing in our pond and guarding our house from various rabbits, deer and birds.

Bentley

Bentley

Bentley Burr is one of our grief therapy dogs.  He was born on January 20, 2020 in Defiance and has been part of our family since he was 8 week old.


Bentley is an “old soul” with deep, loving eyes.  Although he is a big boy, he is very gentle.  Bentley likes meeting new friends at work.  He loves nibbling on metal jewelry or watch bands.  


Bentley is happy to lay outside for hours just watching the world go by.
