Marymargaret Welly

Marymargaret “Skip” Welly, age 84, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away at 11:40 P.M. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Indiana, surrounded by her family. Skip was a 1957 graduate of Edgerton High School and was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Hicksville and the Rosary Altar Society. She was an avid reader and talented seamstress, making wedding dresses for her daughters and others. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and doing puzzles and loved to dance. Most of all she was devoted to taking care of her husband and family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marymargaret was born on February 25, 1939, in Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Rex Joseph and Rosemary (Schuller) Snyder. She married William C. Welly on July 6, 1957, in Edgerton and he survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Edmund Rex Welly, of Atlanta, Georgia, Jodine Marie (Scot) Smith, of Kelleys Island, Ohio, Thomas Michael (Sean Cline) Welly, of West Palm Beach, Florida, Anthony Allan (Debra) Welly, of Hicksville, and Jessica Lynn (Steve) Roehrs, of Dundee, Michigan; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Reverend Larry (Beth) Snyder, of Toledo, Ohio, and Charles Snyder, of Decatur, Indiana; and one sister, Sharon (Rick) Sweet, of Manchester, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Joseph Welly. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 3:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton.
