Virginia “Sue” Darby Flesher, age 89, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 2:23 A.M. on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Country Acres Adult Care in Eaton Rapids, Michigan where she was a resident. Mrs. Flesher had attended business school following graduation from high school in West Virginia and later worked as a bank teller and bookkeeper. Upon moving to the Bryan with her husband, she worked at the Williams County Auditors office retiring with twenty-one years of service. She was a member of the Bryan American Legion Auxiliary, was a member of the Bryan Lioness Club for more than forty years, was a member and active volunteer of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bryan for more than fifty years, and was a volunteer and Life member of the Hospital Auxiliary. Virginia Sue Darby was born on November 13 1930, in Clifton Mills, West Virginia, the daughter of Junior King and Lydia L. (Galloway) Darby. She married Everett Cecil Flesher, Jr. on June 21, 1953, in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2012. Survivors include her four children, Rita Sue (James Pfleger) Bunting, of West Unity, Ohio, Allen C. (Linda) Flesher, of Bryan, Lora J. F. (Larrie) Lemus, of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, and Nora L. (Scott) Herceg, of North Royalton, Ohio; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. in Wesley United Methodist Church, Bryan, with Pastors Peter Paige and Dwight Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery near Bryan. Memorials are requested to Wesley United Methodist Church.
