Vicky Kay Gallagher, age 76, of rural Montpelier, Ohio, died at 1:05 P.M. on Friday, March 29, 2019, in her home after an extended illness. Mrs. Gallagher was a 1960 graduate of Elida High School in Elida, Ohio, and had been employed by Jeske Machine in Edon. She attended Nettle Lake United Brethren Church and enjoyed quilting, sewing, and knitting and loved baking. Vicky Kay Gallagher was born on August 21, 1942, in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of William and Alice (Finch) Hawkins. She married Gary L. Gallagher on April 18, 1980, at Bridgewater Church near Montpelier and he survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Todd (Dee) Clark, of Elida, and George (Kathy) Clark, of Edon, Ohio; five grandchildren, Matthew Clifton, Davey Miller, Curtis Clark, Mary Kate Clark, and Kelly Clark; four great-grandchildren; five brothers, Larry Hawkins, of Elida, Rex (Donna) Hawkins, of Cairo, Ohio, Fred (Shirley) Hawkins, of Cairo, Doug (Anita) Hawkins, of Edon, and Kevin (Penny) Hawkins, of Fremont, Indiana; and two sisters, Sue (Al) Best, of Beaverdam, Ohio, and Ruanna (Ron) Lackey, of Cairo. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Brenda Nester, and one grandson, Gary Clark. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019, in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Private family interment will take place in Powers Cemetery near Angola, Indiana. Memorials are requested to Nettle Lake United Brethren Church.
