Taz A.L. Rathburn

Taz Allen Lee Rathburn, age 27, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at his home. Taz was a stay-at-home dad. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time with his kids and family, playing video games, working on vehicles, and spending time at the ocean. Taz A.L. Rathburn was born on December 1, 1994, in Austell, Georgia, the son of Ryan and Nicki (Loftin) Rathburn. Taz is also survived by his fianceé, Adrienna Young, of Defiance; children, Urijah and Octavia Rathburn, of Montpelier, Ohio, and Guinevere Rathburn, of Defiance; mother, Nicki (Tony) Loftin, of Apopka, Florida; sisters, Morgan Rathburn, of Montpelier, and Shawna Rathburn, of Defiance; half brother, Packard (Jamie) Smith, of Wauseon, Ohio; maternal grandmother, Elaine Carpenter, of Defiance; paternal grandmother, Rose Mitchell, of Kendallville, Indiana; and paternal grandfather, Robert Rathburn, of Napoleon, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Ryan Rathburn; half brother, Damien Smith; and maternal grandfather, Richard Carpenter. Visitation for Taz will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at Restoration Tabernacle, 9119 Christy Road, Defiance, OH 43512. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Janet Strickland officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Memorial donations are requested to the family in care of Krill Funeral Service to help with funeral expenses.
