Shirley A. Wright, age 80, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Friday, March 15, 2019. Shirley was a 1956 graduate of McClure High School. Throughout the years she had worked as a telephone operator in Wauseon, Ohio, worked as a bus driver for Fulton County Training Center, owned and operated Town & Country Tavern in Alvordton, Ohio, with her first husband, and owned and operated Video Express in Bryan. Shirley was born on August 22, 1938, in Napoleon, Ohio, the daughter of Robert F. and Georgia (Kirian) Long, Sr. She married Ronald E. Rowland on December 16, 1956, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 1995. She then married Lannie D. Wright on October 5, 2001, in Altoona, Wisconsin, and he survives. Shirley is also survived by her children, Steve Rowland, of Yatesville, Georgia, Diane Rowland, of Bryan, Colleen McDougall, of Stryker, Ohio, and Melissa Stewart, of Sunbury, Ohio; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Marjorie (Dave) Miller, of Alvordton, Joan (Don) Opdyke, of Alvordton, Darrell (Sandy) Long, of Edon, Ohio, Geri (Ron) Houser, of Pioneer, Ohio, and Peggy (Jim) Baltosser, of West Unity, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Robert Long. A celebration of Shirley’s life will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at the Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. The family requests memorial donations to Edgerton Fire Department or Williams County EMS.
