Ronny M. Godsey, age 72, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away at 1:49 P.M. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after an extended illness. Mr. Godsey was a 1968 graduate of Edon High School and served in the United States Army from 1971-1972. He worked in maintenance for many years in various areas and in orchards out west. Ronny was a fun-loving prankster who had a heart of gold and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, making furniture, and visiting garage sales. He was affectionately know as the “Garage Sale King.” Ronny M. Godsey was born on March 20, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Hubert RC and Patricia Marie (Snyder) Godsey. Survivors include three sisters, Vickie (Jeff) Tuttle, of Butler, Indiana, Lorri Tappenden, of Edgerton, and Penny (Kevin) Hawkins, of Fremont, Indiana; two brothers, Jess (Cathy) Godsey, of Edon, and Ralph Godsey, of Brewton, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with Ronny’s requests, there will be no public visitation or services. Private grave side services and interment will be held in Columbia Cemetery.
