Richard C. Stoll, age 93, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 6:40 A.M. on Monday, March 12, 2018, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center. Mr. Stoll was a life long farmer, working the harvest of 2017 and was very proud to have his farm named a Centennial Farm. He was a member of the Edon Farmer’s Co-Op Board of Directors ; the National Rifle Association; an honorary member of the Edon FFA and the Tri-township Farm Bureau Council for many years. He attended Edon United Methodist Church and was a member of the former Edgerton Alliance Church. Richard enjoyed eating at Rita’s in Edgerton and Sam’s Place in Blakeslee. Richard C. Stoll was born on July 2, 1924, near Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Clarence O. and Mamie M. (Riehle) Stoll. He was a graduate of Edgerton High School. Richard was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and was able to attend an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. He married his wife of seventy-years, Norma J. (Close), on May 4, 1947, near Edgerton and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2017.Richard is survived by his three sons, James (Marcella) Stoll, of Edgerton, Don (Janet) Stoll, of Mundelein, Illinois, and Paul (Penny) Stoll, of Edon, Ohio; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Marvin (Rose) Stoll, of White Pine, Tennessee and sister, Leola (Art) Hammond, of Hillsdale, Michigan . He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and great grandson, Noah Jonathan Stoll.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in the Bryan Alliance Church with Pastor Brian "Yogi" Durbin officiating and a special message from Missionary Craig Hanscome. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton.Memorials are requested to the Bryan Cardiac Rehab, Edon FFA or Christian and Missionary Alliance Missions.
