R. Dean Krill, age 93, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away at 12:25 P.M. on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Community Health and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mr. Krill was a 1944 graduate of Edgerton High School and a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II as a radio technician. He was a lifelong farmer, working as a dairy farmer for thirty-five years and then raising beef cattle and grain farming for twelve and a half years. In retirement he enjoyed seeing the countryside as a longtime rural carrier for The Bryan Times. He was a member of Bryan First Church of Christ. R. Dean Krill was born near Edgerton, Ohio, on February 14, 1926, the son of Albert E. and Inez M. (Fix) Krill. He married his wife of seventy-one years, Esther A. Ames, on December 24, 1947, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are twins, Jerry (Mary Helene) Krill, of Fulton,Maryland, and Janet (John) Leppelmeier, of Bryan, and son, Jeff (Rachel) Krill, of Garrettsville, Ohio; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis and Russell Krill, and one sister, Fern Traxler. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, with Pastor Larry Snavely officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton with grave side military rites conducted by Edgerton American Legion Post #10 and the United States Navy Honor Guard. Memorials are requested to Bryan First Church of Christ.
