Phyllis Irene Sonner, age 85, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 10:15 P.M. on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Bryan Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Phyllis worked at K-Mart for 37 years, mainly at the Service Desk. She later worked at Mid-Am Bank. Phyllis was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She enjoyed bowling and working crossword puzzles. Phyllis was born on April 10, 1937, in Angola, Indiana, the daughter of Stephen and Opal (Call) Horn. She married Edward Lee Sonner on June 17, 1991, and he survives. Phyllis is also survived by her children, Dana Kubanda, of Bryan, Bonnie (Stephen) Chilton, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Christopher (Kathleen) Rohrbaugh, of Bryan; a step-daughter, Teresa (John) Stantz; five grandchildren, Nik, Logan, Lexi, Chase and Cody; two step-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Austyn; and one brother, Wendell (Pamela) Horn, of Babbitt, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Horn, mother, Opal Andrew and a step-brother, Larry Andrew. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Memorials are requested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
