Myrna Jean Rink, age 83, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away at 7:53 A.M. on Friday, December 11, 2020, at Betz Nursing Home near Auburn. She was born on August 1, 1937, in Hillsdale, Michigan, the daughter of John and Myrna (Osmun) Ash. Jean worked in several factories in the Auburn and Angola areas. Jean is survived by her two sons, Terry (Jill) Baker, of Bryan, Ohio, and Bart (Lisa) Kimmel, of Auburn; daughter, Teresa “Polly” (Curtis) Newcomer, of Bryan, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sisters, Vivian (Bill) Knapp, of Bryan, Diane (Kerry) Flory, of Pioneer, Ohio, and Janet (Ron) Green, of Fremont, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Russell Ash. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with funeral services to follow at 1:00 P.M. She will be laid to rest at Waldron Cemetery. Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions. The family requests visitors use masks in accordance with state mandates. Anyone showing any symptoms of illness is asked to please share condolences by a phone call, email, text message, or leaving a condolence at the funeral home website. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
