Mildred P. (Lautzenheiser) Taylor, age 91, of rural Edon, Ohio, passed away at 10:50 P.M. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Hillside Country Living near Bryan, Ohio, where she was a resident, after a brief illness. Mrs. Taylor was a 1946 graduate of Edon High School and was a certified glass etcher, retiring from Burns Awards in Bryan. She was a member of Edon United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for more than fifty years, and was a charter member of the Edon American Legion Auxiliary. Mildred was also a charter member of the former Sweet Adelines Barbershop Chorus, in which she was active for many years. Mildred P. Taylor was born on September 25, 1928, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of Dwight and Lenore (Allomong) Lautzenheiser. She married Denver G. Taylor on February 16, 1947, in Edon and he preceded her in death on August 27, 2002. Survivors include two nephews, Wesley (Carol) and Lyle (Joyce) Roan; one niece, Bonnie (Mike) Sentel; and her special caregivers, Roger and Diana Hartsock, and David, Becky, Hannah and Michael Ater. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Esther Myers. Services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. in Edon United Methodist Church with Reverend Doug Widdowson officiating. Visitation will be held in the church for two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 A.M. Memorials are requested to Edon United Methodist Church.
