Mildred M. Dick, age 98, of Effingham, Illinois and formerly a long time resident of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at her residence. Mildred was the cafeteria manager at the Pulaski School for many years. She was a member of Pulaski United Methodist Church. Mildred was born on September 17, 1923 in Frontier, Michigan, the daughter of Winford W. and Grace Mae (Farling) Butler. She graduated from Fayette High School. On December 1, 1943, she married George H. “Bud” Dick in Stryker and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2011. Mildred is survived by her son, Willis Dick, of Collierville, Tennessee; daughter, Kristene (James) Witte, of Effingham, Illinois; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Paul Robert Dick; daughter-in-law, Linda Dick; sisters, Nellie Crow, Ruth Fulmer and Mary Fleming; and brothers. Carl E. and Paul R. Butler. Funeral services will be held at Pulaski United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. With Pastor Rachel Widdowson officiating. Visitation will be held a the church one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Shiffler Cemetery near Pulaski. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio has been entrusted with Mildred’s services. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pulaski United Methodist Church.
