Michael S. Ruger, Sr.

Michael S. Ruger, Sr., age 58, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville. Michael had worked at Ohio Glass for many years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and woodworking when he was younger, and spending time on his computer and with his family more recently. Michael was born on March 14, 1964 in Hinton, West Virginia, the son of Norman A. and Margaret A. (Cales) Ruger. He married Lynn Smith on June 11, 2016 in Payne, Ohio and she survives. Michael is also survived by his son, Michael Ruger, Jr., of Paulding; daughter, Amanda Ruger, Of Van Wert; grandchildren, Felicity Dockery and Jaxson and Nathaya Ruger; his parents, Norman and Margaret Ruger, of Payne; siblings, Rick (Lisa) Cales, of Sand Stone, West Virginia, Larry (Glenna) Lilly, of Vernon, Indiana, Donnette (Dan) Dugan, of Briceton, Ohio, Gene (Tracy) Ruger, of Van Wert and Norman (Mandi) Ruger, Jr., of Grove City, Ohio; step sisters, Nancy Ottinger, of Fort Wayne, Annie (Russell) Armstrong and Lynette Ruger, both of Paulding; his grandmother, Louise Adkins, of Sand Stone, West Virginia and former spouse, Lisa Miller, of Van Wert. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.
