Melvin G. Weber, age 71, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 4:24 P.M. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at The Laurels of DeKalb in Butler, Indiana, after a brief illness. Mr. Weber was a 1969 graduate of Edgerton High School and a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. Throughout his work career he worked as a machinist in manufacturing and in heating and cooling with several local contractors. He was a member of Bryan Amvets Post #54, Bryan VFW #2489, and Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. He enjoyed Ohio State football, working on cars when he was younger, and shooting pool in leagues at Mike’s Place in Bryan for many years. Melvin G. Weber was born November 16, 1950, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of J. Franklin and Zelma Louise (Werst) Weber. Survivors include one brother, Marvin (Janelle) Weber, of Edgerton, Ohio, and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ralph and Calvin Weber. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Rick Stiver officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard. Interment will be private. Memorials are requested to Bryan Amvets Post #54 or Bryan VFW Post #2489.
