Mel A. Peter, age 63, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away May 21, 2024 at his home from natural causes. He was a US Coast Guard veteran. Mel was a robotics repair technician at Toledo Transducer for 30 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maumee. He enjoyed hunting , being outdoors and renaissance fairs when he was younger, was an avid Dungeons and Dragons player and enjoyed gaming with his friends.
Mel A. Peter was born September 9, 1960 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Melvin V. and Peggy S. (Thompson) Peter. He was a graduate of Hicksville High School and attended Hocking Technical College and Owens Community College earning an associate degree in robotics.
He is survived by parents, Melvin and Peggy Peter, of Bryan; sister, Julie (William) Bills, of Lansing, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Jacob Bills, Susan Shadley, Erin Bills, Caleb Bills and Nathanael Bills.
Private family services will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Rath officiating. He will be laid to rest at Lost Creek Cemetery. His services have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.
Memorials in honor of Mel may be made to the American Heart Association.
