Mary Ellen Parrott

Mary Ellen Parrott, age 71, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away at 12:16 A.M. on Sunday, November 17, 2019, in her home, surrounded by her family, after an extended illness.  Throughout her working career, she had worked at General Telephone, Motorola, Holsum Bakery, Bryan Custom Plastics, and DIA.  She was a member of New Life Worship Center in Bryan, Ohio, and was devoted to her Savior Jesus Christ and her family.   Mary Ellen Parrott was born on September 10, 1948, in Wedowee, Alabama, the daughter of Elijah and Cora (Ragsdale) Powell.  She married Robert M. Parrott on June 8, 1965, in Sargent, Georgia, and he survives.   Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Timothy Parrott, of Edgerton; one daughter, Donna (Doug) Kooinga, also of Edgerton; four grandchildren, Shelby and Jordan Parrott; step-grandson, Noah; and granddaughters, Jessica and Brittany Contreras; a great-grandchild, Morgan Parrott; six step-grandchildren, Karina, Olivia, Alyssa, Brent, Katie and Bruce; one brother, James Powell; and three sisters, Nadine Ford, Jettie Evans and Betty Crawford.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.   In keeping with Mary’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time.
