Mary J. Stevens, age 87, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 5:10 P.M. on Monday, June 29, 2020, in her home after an extended illness. Mary had retired from Bryan Custom Plastics in 1999 with 25 years of service. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bryan Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2233, and the Red Hats Rouge Dames. Mary was born on November 16, 1932, in Winchester, Indiana, the daughter of Howard and Margaret (Horvich) Lawrence. She married Donald “Sam” Stevens on March 2, 1955, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 1989. Mary is survived by her children, Bruce (Anette) Stevens, of Stryker, Ohio, Jeannie (Randy) Jerger, of Bryan, and Chris (Susan) Stevens, of Lake Lure, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeremiah) Gracia, Ryan Jerger, Nichole Stevens, Ashlee (Jake) England, Kyle (Deborah) Stevens, and Chandler (Allison) Stevens; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and half brother. Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions. The family requests visitors to use masks to prevent spreading the virus. Anyone showing any symptoms of infection are asked to please share their condolences by a phone call, email, text message or leaving a condolence at the funeral home website. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020, from 12:00-2:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held immediately following, at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Deb Widdowson officiating. Burial will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery. Memorials are requested to Community Health Professionals Hospice and Visiting Nurses.
