Marvin L. Palmerton, age 84, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 5:31 P.M. on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, following a brief illness. Mr. Palmerton was a 1955 graduate of Edgerton High School and in 1957 started working at 50 Division in Bryan. During his fifty-four years of employment, the company changed names from 50 Division to Hayes Albion, Trim Trends, and Global Suspension Division. He was a member of Bryan Alliance Church and enjoyed fishing, taking walks and spending time with family and friends. Marvin L. Palmerton was born on December 10, 1935, near Metz, Indiana, the son of the late Melvin and Clela Geneva (Gilbert) Palmerton. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Paul; and two sisters, Helen and Gladys Elaine. Survivors include one nephew, Melvin (Vicki) Palmerton, of Bryan; one niece, Carole (Lyle) Fillmore, of Antwerp, Ohio; two great-nephews; one great- great-nephew; one great-great-niece; and close friends. Private interment will take place in Powers Cemetery near Metz, Indiana. Memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
