Larry Edward Lambert, age 81, of Defiance, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio where he had been a patient. Following graduation from Fairview High School, Larry enlisted in the United States Army. He served as an assistant artillery gunner and was honorably discharged. Larry was a farmer and was also employed as a tire builder at Goodrich Tire. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and traveling. He visited 49 states, all the Canadian provinces, China, Israel and Mexico.
Larry was born on January 6, 1943, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Oscar Carl and Leona Kathryn (Krouse) Lambert. He married Betty Ruth Yager on October 31, 1964 in Columbus, Georgia and she survives.
Along with his wife, Larry is survived by his daughters, Barb (Dave) Mitchell, of New Port Richey, Florida and Jeanie (Larry) Rogers, of Bristol, Florida; sons, David (Jena) Lambert, of Owatonna, Minnesota and Don (Marie) Lambert, of Columbus, Ohio; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, Ruth Doctor, of Fort Wayne, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Oscar L. (Opal) Lambert; brother-in-law, George Doctor and a great grandchild.
In accordance to his wishes, there will be no public arrangements for Larry. Krill Funeral Home, 860 East Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio has been entrusted with his arrangements.
