Kim D. Humpert, age 68, of Montpelier, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Parkview Montpelier Hospital. Kim worked for several years in management at Wendy’s and was an operator at Northstar in Delta. He enjoyed making clocks of all kinds in his spare time.
Kim D. Humpert was born on October 24, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Hilary and Virginia D. (Gable) Humpert. He was a graduate of Libbey High School in Toledo and Heidelberg College with a degree in Business.
Survivors include his life partner, Christine M. Alwood, of Montpelier and her children, Jessica (Bob) Wheeler, of South Bend, Indiana, Jaylynn (Patric Gearhart) Alwood, of Edon, Ohio and Jacob (Casey) Alwood, of Auburn, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Luzius, of Toledo, Carol Swiatkowski, of Montpelier, Betty (Jake) Swaninger, of Perrysburg, Jill (Fred) Piercy, of Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania, Jackie (David) McCoy, of Greensboro, North Carolina and Vicki Humpert, of Sylvania and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Gordon Luzius and Donald Swiatkowski.
In accordance with Kim’s wishes, a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
