Kenneth W. Laney

Kenneth W. Laney, age 71, of Hicksville passed away Friday morning, January 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Kenneth was a retired laborer. He enjoyed reading, watching TV and spending time with his grandchildren. Kenneth W. Laney was born on May 19, 1950 in Antwerp, Ohio, the son of James and Olive Jane (Swan) Laney, Sr. He married Sarah A. Gipple on October 13, 1979 in Hicksville and she preceded him in death on July 14, 2003. Kenneth is survived by his daughters, April Laney and Misty Laney, both of Hicksville; grandchildren, Xavyer and Aryssia Brown; sisters, Doris Clemmons, of Continental and Jean Robinson, of Hicksville; and brothers, Larry (Dora) Laney, of Cecil, Don Laney, of Hicksville, and Dan Laney, of Spencerville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Jack, Richard, Ron, Robert, William, George and James Laney, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Smith and Carolyn Mansfield. Kenneth will be buried at Forest Home Cemetery next to his wife, in a private ceremony. Krill Funeral Service, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, has been entrusted with his arrangements.
