Katherine S. Ensman, age 59, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after an extended illness. Mrs. Ensman began working at a young age at the tomato factory and later was employed at Lester’s Diner in Bryan for many years. She was a member of Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233 and Grace Community Church in Bryan. Katherine S. Ensman was born on May 6, 1959, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Dale and Maxine (Fry) Flower. She married Charles Joseph Ensman on June 3, 1977, in Bryan and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2002. Survivors include one son, Mark (Holly Beck) Ensman, of Montpelier, Ohio; one daughter, Pamala Yates, of McClure, Ohio; three granddaughters, Percilla Ensman, Tonya Paxton and Dyna Lands; her longtime companion, Mike Impton, of Bryan; two sisters, Doris (Jim) Laser, of West Unity, Ohio, and Theresa (Dave) McDowell, of Bryan; six brothers, LaVon (Lois) Flower and Rex Flower, both of Montpelier, Chuck Flower, of Holiday City, Ohio, Dan (Kathy) Grant, of Edgerton, Ohio, Bill Grant, of Bryan, and Wayne (Marilyn) Belknap, of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Don and Gary Flower and Kenny Belknap; and four sisters, Toby Simpkins, Alice Deck, Vickie Flower and Jane Jeko. A memorial service celebrating the life of Kathy Ensman will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Sam Byroads officiating. The family will receive visitors for an hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery, Bryan.
