Junior A. Schuller, age 83, of Edon, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice in Defiance, Ohio, after an extended illness. Mr. Schuller was a longtime employee of the Village of Edon Street Department for many years also served as its chief of police in Edon. He then was employed by Slattery Oil in Edon for a number of years until his retirement. He was also a former member of the Florence Township Fire Department.
Junior Albert Schuller was born on April 7, 1940, in Miller City, Ohio, the son of Albert and Lois (Gebhart) Schuller. He married Cheryl F. Sholl on February 19, 1966, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Terri (Steve) Manges, of Edon, Sherri (Marlin) Wiler, of Edon, Doug (Cathy) Schuller, of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Gina (Joe Jones) Suffel, of Angola, Indiana; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his siblings, JoAnn Zeigler, of Ottoville, Ohio, Alice (Bill) Klear, of Ottawa, Ohio, Carol Young, of Bryan, Ohio, Bob (Karen) Schuller, of Pioneer, Ohio, Marge (Mike) Birdwell, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Martha (Lowell) Mason, of Edgerton, Ohio, Ron Schuller, Brad Schuller, of Edon, and Kathy (Bill) Hayes, of Fremont, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Schuller.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, followed by a time of sharing for those in attendance.
Memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society or Florence Township Fire Department.
