Judith “Judy” Marie Driver-Blalock completed her earthly journey and entered the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 5, 2024. Judy was a resident at VanCrest Senior Living in Hicksville, Ohio and under the supervised care of Heartland Hospice. She was born on September 23, 1938 in Paulding, Ohio and was the oldest child of Arthur and Donna Isabelle (Coe) Koehlinger. Judy married Kenneth Lee Driver on June 21, 1957 and moved from her hometown of Antwerp, Ohio to Hicksville, where together they raised their two daughters. Lee and Judy enjoyed traveling, playing cards with close friends, and racing harness horses. Most summer weekends found the Driver family loading up and heading out to various county fairs and other racing venues throughout Northwest Ohio and southern lower Michigan. In 1987, Judy lost her first husband, Lee, to a two-year battle with cancer. In 1989, Judy married her second husband, Lynn Blalock. They also shared owning and operating harness horses. Although Lynn was not a traveler, he encouraged Judy to travel whenever she wished. She joined a travel group and took many exciting trips around the country.
Judy enjoyed shopping, traveling, and jumping in her car to drive about anywhere, anytime, and get there quickly. Many will remember Judy as the owner/operator of the B-Neat Beauty Salon that she operated out of her home on Meuse Argonne Ave. in Hicksville. During her many years as a beautician, Judy developed and cultivated countless close friendships that she maintained throughout her retirement years.
Family was one of the proudest elements of Judy’s life. She loved getting together for a meal, a trip, or any type of celebration. Her kind spirit will be missed by all, but also live on in all of her family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Kenneth Lee Driver in 1987, her second husband, Lynn Robert Blalock in 2020, and one granddaughter, Tami Marie Tavierne in 1988. Judy is survived by her sister, Jane (Rick) Limber of Antwerp, Ohio; two daughters, Pamela (Mike) Bailey of Hicksville, and Debra (Rich) Tavierne of Fort Wayne, Indiana; six grandchildren: Michael (Jennifer) Bailey, Jr., Thera Bailey, Amy (Adam) Atkins, Tyler (Elizabeth) Tavierne, Kim (William) Kohl, and Jaylen Morris and eight great grandchildren: MaKeegan Bailey, Tatum Bailey, Adelyn Atkins, Abram Atkins, Kailyn Kohl, Maya Kohl, William Henry Kohl, and Elliot Brooks Tavierne along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
