Gus T. Lautermilch, age 60, of Montpelier, Ohio, passed away at 5:50 P.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, with his family at his side. Mr. Lautermilch was a 1978 graduate of Fairview High School and was a veteran of the United States Army, retiring as Sargent First Class with twenty years of service. He was employed as a forklift operator in shipping by 20/20 Plastics for fourteen years. Gus was a hard-working man who was devoted to his family and enjoyed his grandkids. He also loved to ride his motorcycle and drink Mountain Dew. Gus T. Lautermilch was born on January 29, 1960, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Paul and Vanda (Phillips) Lautermilch. He married Debra K. Thompson on December 23, 1983, in Bryan and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Robert Hartman, of Edon, Ohio, and Brock (Cheryl) Lautermilch, of Montpelier; one daughter, Toshia (Jerelde) Conway; of Montpelier; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Glen (Deb) Lautermilch, of Bryan, and Danny Lautermilch, of Visala, California; and one sister, Rachel Lautermilch-Fenter, of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020, from 3:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. A time of sharing will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020, beginning at 1:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Military rites will follow, conducted by Bryan Joint VFW/Legion Honor Guard and the United States Army Honor Guard. Memorials are requested to the family for expenses.
