Guadalupe Pena “Wally” Resendez, age 58, of Edon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, following a brief illness. Wally had worked at Winzeler Stamping for 21 years and also had worked as a landscaper. He was a member of Turning Point Pentecostal Church in Archbold, Ohio, where he also played drums for many years, was a foster parent, was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman, and was also a handyman. Guadalupe Pena Resendez was born on May 4, 1962, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Domingo C. and Maria Juanita (Pena) Resendez, Sr. Wally attended Four County Vocational School and graduated from Bryan High School. He was active in football and wrestling in high school. Wally married Deborah S. Yoder on October 28, 1995, in Fort Wayne and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife, Debbie Resendez, are his children, Dustin (Kaylene) Resendez, of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Felicia Resendez, of Edon, Seth (Skilar) Resendez, of Bryan, and Blaze Resendez, of Indianapolis, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Lilly, Mia, Ahlia, Marianna, Aaron, Adrianna, Alex, Zylar and Zander; three brothers, Domingo, Jr., Pete and Michael; and three sisters, Esther, Millie and Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ruth, and infant brother, Joseph. Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions. The family requests visitors use masks in accordance with state mandates. Anyone showing any symptoms of illness is asked to please share condolences by a phone call, email, text message, or leaving a condolence at the funeral home website. Visitation for Wally will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Turning Point Pentecostal Church, V071 State Route 66, Archbold, Ohio, with Pastor Jason Clutter officiating. Memorials are requested to a college fund for Blaze Resendez.
