Gene T. Fisher, age 47, of Alvordton, Ohio, died on February 15, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana, after a brief illness. He was employed by B & B Maintenance as a janitor and enjoyed watching football and fishing. Gene was a very happy person that could make anyone laugh. He will be missed by many. Gene was born on August 14, 1974, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the son of Gene T. and Carolyn R. (Plumm) Fisher. Surviving are three children, Brice Fisher, of West Unity, Ohio, Blake (and fiancée, Meranda) Fisher, and Taylor Zehr, of Alvordton; one grandson, Leon Fisher; his mother, Carolyn R. Fisher, of West Unity; eight siblings, Ron (Chris) Snyder, of Sarasota, Florida, Lois (Mark) Munson, of Goodletts, Tennessee, Sara Welling, of East Liverpool, Tresae (Robin) Athy, of West Unity, Fred Fisher, of Chester, West Virginia, Bill (Loretta) Fisher, also of Chester, West Virginia, Jessie Fisher, of Wellsville, Ohio, and Jack Fisher, of Weirton, West Virginia; his two beloved dogs, Flash and Courage; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene T. Fisher; a sister, Janie Kosier; a brother, Thomas Fisher; and one son, Alec Fisher. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan. Services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Ted Mathes officiating, where the family will receive visitors two hours prior, beginning at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan. Memorial contributions are requested to the family to help with expenses.
