Daniel J. Merritt

Daniel J. Merritt, age 30, of Edgerton, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020 in the Emergency Room at Community Hospitals and Wellness Center - Bryan. Daniel was a crew member at McDonald’s in Hicksville for 5 years. He was an avid gamer and a happy-go-lucky person. Daniel J. Merritt was born October 28, 1989 in Adrian, Michigan, the son of Rodney G. and Susan M. (Connor) Merritt. He graduated from Edgerton High School in 2008. Daniel is survived by his parents, Rod and Susan Merritt, of Edgerton; grandfathers, Dave Connor, of Bryan and William Horton, of Pipersville, Pennsylvania; aunts, Lynn Shaffer, of Mark Center and Jennifer Morgan, of Fort Worth, Texas and cousins, Tayler Shaffer, of Paulding and Chas Shidler, of Mark Center. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Marjorie Merritt, maternal grandmother, Jan Connor and uncle, Eric Connor. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Daniel will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are requested to the family in care of Krill Funeral Home.
