Coulleen K. “Cookie” Lees, age 67, passed away at 10:04 P.M. on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Charles and Virginia Hickman Promedica Hospital in Adrian, Michigan, after a brief illness. Cookie was a 1972 graduate of Edgerton High School in Edgerton, Ohio, and attended St. Francis College in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was an administrative assistant for Enzo Life Sciences in Ann Arbor, Michigan, prior to her retirement. She may best be remembered for her many years working at Bob’s Dairy Bar in Edgerton. She enjoyed nature and taking care of her cats. Coulleen K. “Cookie” Lees was born on January 29, 1954, in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of Max S. and Kathryn I. (Krill) Lees. She married Carol Kennedy on May 28, 2016, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and she survives. Surviving in addition to her wife are one brother, Bill (Dianne) Lees, of Auburn, Indiana; one niece, Brianne Lees; two nephews, Justin Lees and Tim Taylor; her brother-in-law, Larry Taylor, in California; two great-nephews and nieces; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Paula Taylor. Services celebrating Cookie’s life will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 2:30 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. The family will receive visitors for a half hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions. The family encourages the use of masks.
