Constance V. Schmitt

Constance V. Schmitt, age 81, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the Bryan Care & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her four sons. Connie worked at MetalForge for 35 years until their closing and then at Sauder Woodworking for 8 years before she retired in October of 2007. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and had been a member of the Omnibus Club. Connie enjoyed antiquing and working in her yard. Constance was born February 14, 1941, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of Julia (Rodrigez) Chavez. She was a 1959 graduate of Bryan High School. Connie is survived by her sons, Rick (Dawn) Schmitt, of Montpelier, Tom (Jeanie VonDeylen) Schmitt, of West Unity, Ron (Bonnie) Schmitt, of West Unity and Gary (Mandy Brown) Schmitt, of Bryan; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kathy Schmitt, sisters, Cecila Gonzales and Maria Julia Quiroga, brothers, Fred, Frank, Theodore, Joseph, James and John Cavez. The family will have a private service at a later date. Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan Ohio has been entrusted with her arrangements. The family suggests memorial donations to CHP Hospice.
