Cheryl M. Pollard, age 48, of Defiance, Ohio, died at 11:27 P.M. on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Brookview Healthcare Center in Defiance after an extended illness.Cheryl was a 1988 graduate of Edgerton High School, where she was active in volleyball, basketball and softball and played trumpet in the band. She graduated from Northwest State Community College as a Licensed Practical Nurse and had been employed at Bryan Hospital, and at nursing homes in Paulding, Ohio, and Butler, Indiana, until retiring due to disability. An avid softball player for many years, she had been a member of the Bryan Eagles softball team. She also enjoyed camping, was a doting mom who was at every game her children played in as long as she was able and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Miami Dolphins fan.Cheryl M. Pollard was born on November 25, 1969, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Richard C. and Karen B. (Witte) Stark. Survivors include her father and stepmother Richard and Joyce Stark, of Defiance; one son, Jacob Pollard, and twin daughters, Brittany and Brooke Pollard, all of Sherwood, Ohio; one niece; and numerous aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen, in 1998, a sister, Charlene R. Rodriguez-Shadbolt, in 2007; and a brother, Jeffrey Stark in 2009.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Father Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton.Memorials are requested to Heartland Hospice or to Brookview Healthcare Activity Fund.
