Carol J. Behrens

Carol J. Behrens, age 79, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 5:05 A.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Bryan Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. Mrs. Behrens grew up in Michigan and retired from Ford Stamping in Maumee, Ohio, where she was press operator and lead person. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and taking trips. Carol J. Behrens was born on June 1, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Floyd and Florence (Hoffman) Vanalstine. She married James E. Behrens on October 28, 1986, in Maumee, and he survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Glen (Linda) Zimbeck, in Washington, and Walter Zimbeck, in Tennessee; one granddaughter; one sister, Joannie (Cecil) Jimison, of Pioneer, Ohio; one brother, Richard Vanalstine, in Texas; and a stepbrother, Floyd “Van” Vanalstine, of Toledo. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Philip Snyder; and one sister, Judy Mayse. In keeping with Carol’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
