Buddy L. Krontz, age 65, of Edon, Ohio, passed away at 11:40 P.M. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio, where he was a patient. Mr. Krontz was a graduate of Edon High School and worked at Edgerton Forge in Edgerton, Ohio, for more than thirty years until his retirement due to disability. He enjoyed playing and watching basketball, was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes, enjoyed playing his lottery tickets, and was known to be a practical joker. Buddy L. Krontz was born on May 9, 1954, the son of Alfred D. “Bud” and Bonnie Jean (Rickard) Krontz. Survivors include two sons, Jason (Mollie) Krontz, of Edon, and Eric (Tiffany Jenkins) Krontz, of Blakeslee, Ohio; three daughters, Shannon Siler, of Montpelier, Ohio, Trina Krontz, of Bakersfield, California, and Jessica Krontz, of Toledo, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Pat Shutt, of Auburn, Indiana; and numerous neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Sharon Pfefferkorn. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton, Ohio. Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Interment will take place in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville, Ohio, at a later date. Memorials are requested to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
