Allen R. Ordway, age 61, of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away at 3:48 P.M. on Monday, June 29, 2020, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after a brief illness. Mr. Ordway was 1977 graduate of Edgerton High School and worked at Stark Truss for many years in Ohio and Florida and then in plumbing and HVAC for JMS Mechanical and Stark’s Plumbing and Heating. He also operated Al’s Handyman in recent years and then went back to work for Stark Truss in Edgerton. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Allen R. Ordway was born on December 26, 1958, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Amos and Pluma (Winebar) Ordway. He married Jacquelyn N. Koch in Edgerton in 2001, and she survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Nate Ordway, of Defiance, Ohio; three stepsons, Larry (Diane) Sines, of Harker Heights, Texas, Christopher (Kate) Stickan, of Hamilton, Indiana, and Nathan (Sara) Stickan, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two grandchildren, Natalie and Raylin Ordway; seven step-grandchildren; one brother, Gene (Ruth) Ordway, of Edgerton; and two sisters, Lorna Warner and Nancy Fry, both in Florida. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Ordway, and three sisters, Donna Wrinkle, Joyce Mason and Joann Ordway. In keeping with Al’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. Private interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Krill Funeral Service 14 East Hull Street, Edgerton has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorials are requested to any home care agency or hospice of the donor’s choice.
