Clinton Edward Saurer, Sr., age 67, of Montpelier, Ohio, died at 7:55 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Evergreen Manor where he had been a resident the past month. Mr. Saurer was employed by the former Del Craft, and also Cardinal Trucking in the oil fields of Texas. He served his country in the United States Army from 1955 until his discharge in 1958. He was a member of the Montpelier Fraternal Order of Eagles. Clinton Edward Saurer, Sr., was born on August 18, 1937 in Charlotte, Michigan, the son of John Franklin and Ora Gladys (Murphy) Saurer. Mr. Saurer is survived by his five children, Robert Joe Saurer, Tracy Jo Manley of Bryan, Ohio, Clinton Edward (Lisa) Saurer, Jr., of Edgerton, Ohio, John Paul (Stacey) Saurer of Bryan, Ohio and Marlena Lynn Saurer of Hicksville, Ohio, eight grandchildren, two sisters, Judith Ann (Daryle) Lorntz of Bryan, Ohio and Carol Jean (Jerry) Rhoades of Andrews, Texas and one brother, John Frederick (Jean) Saurer of Spearman, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Paul G. Saurer and one infant sister, Joy Lynn Saurer. Memorial Services for Clinton Edward Saurer, Sr., will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2004 at the Montpelier Fraternal Order of Eagles 214 North Jonesville Street, Montpelier, Ohio with Daryle Lorntz, officiating. Visitation for Mr. Saurer will be held one hour prior to the service at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Montpelier, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2004 in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, Ohio. Arrangements by Krill Funeral Service, Bryan, Ohio.
