Dennis Lee Miller, Sr.

Dennis Lee “Dink” Miller, Sr., age 55, of rural Montpelier, Ohio, died early Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio, where he had been a patient for two days. Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was self-employed as an auto mechanic. Dennis Lee Miller, Sr. was born on July 31, 1952, in Montpelier, Ohio, the son of William and Phyllis (Baker) Miller. He married Susan J. Pelland on January 4, 1982, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Miller is survived by seven children, Cindy (Ryan) Pannel, of Melbern, Ohio, Dennis Lee (Kathy) Miller, Jr., of Camden, Michigan, Steve (Tracy) Miller, of Orlando, Florida, Denise (Brad) Stetler, of Angola, Indiana, Dawn (Monty) Hale, of Bryan, Ohio, Mandy (Clint) Oberlin, of Waterloo, Indiana, Dennis Lee Miller III, of Butler, Indiana, and fifteen grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Phyllis Miller, of Bryan, Ohio, two brothers, William Miller, of Edon, Ohio, and Toby Miller, of Bryan, Ohio, four sisters, Vernetta Backus, of Zanesville, Ohio, Wardeana Johnson and Roberta Miller, both of Bryan, Ohio, and Phyllis Daughtery, of Longview, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, William Miller, and one sister, Angela Glander. Services for Dennis Lee Miller will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with military rites immediately following conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service. Memorials in the name of Dennis Lee Miller, Sr. may be given to the family or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
