View Video Tribute Delmas Hicks, age 64, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 11:01 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan, Ohio. Mr. Hicks was employed as a supervisor for the former Edgerton Metal Products, retiring in 1997. He was an avid bowler and a member of the Butler Eagles. Delmas Hicks was born on October 12, 1943, in Lackey, Kentucky, the son of Oakley and Dorothy (Brown) Hicks. He married Phyllis Cummins on February 3, 1962, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hicks is survived by his mother, Dorothy Hicks, of Mousie, Kentucky, one son, Robert (Camie) Hicks, of Edgerton, Ohio, two daughters, Ellen (Chris) Herman, of Edgerton, Ohio, and Della (Nathan) Miller, of Bryan, Ohio, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers, Marion (Marylin) Hicks, of St. Marys, Ohio, Kenny Hicks and Tim Hicks, both of Mousie, Kentucky, and Chuck Hicks, of Uniopolis, Ohio, and four sisters, Buretta Handshoe and Pat (Ellis) Green, both of Kendallville, Indiana, Bonnie Harrod, of Mousie, Kentucky, and Barbara (Allen) Metcalf, of Celina, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant brother, Carmen Hicks. Services for Delmas Hicks will be on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 1. Memorials in the name of Delmas Hicks may be given to Edgerton EMS.
