Lizzie F. Landel, age 94, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 10:27 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2005, in Parkview Nursing Center, Edgerton, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Landel was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, the Pearl Circle of the United Methodist Women and the Edgerton B.P.W. She was a 1928 graduate of Edgerton High School. Lizzie F. Landel was born February 25, 1911, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Wilma Virginia (Chappius) Luke. She married Earle E. Landel on September 4, 1932, in Covington, Kentucky, and he preceded her on July 11, 1999. Mrs. Landel is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pat (Helen L.) Ryan, of Edgerton, Ohio, Mrs. David (Virginia M.) Sheets, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Mrs. Roger (Nancy J.) Haymond of Clearwater Beach, Florida, two sons, Frederick J. Landel and Donald C. (Donna) Landel, both of Edgerton, Ohio, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Jim Luke, of Bryan, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, Walter, Darrell and Virgil Luke, and one sister, Gladys Yoder. Services for Lizzie F. Landel will be Thursday, June 2, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Ned Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1. Memorials in the name of Lizzie F. Landel may be given to the Park View Nursing Center Activity Fund or to the Edgerton United Methodist Church.
