LaVerna M. Watson, age 91, of Fishers, Indiana, and formerly of Defiance, Ohio, died Saturday, October 23, 2004, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville, Indiana, where she was a resident, after an extended illness. Mrs. Watson was a homemaker and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Defiance, Ohio. LaVerna M. Watson was born January 21, 1913, in Blakeslee, Ohio, the daughter of John and Louise (Stark) Kurtz. She married Harry W. Watson on January 2, 1937, in Metz, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on August 23, 1993. Mrs. Watson is survived by two sons, William "Bill" (Martha) Watson, of Fishers, Indiana, and Robert "Bob" (Teofila) Watson, of Arlington, Virginia. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Carmen (David) Temple, Perry (Melinda) Watson, Michelle Watson and Belinda Watson and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Omer, Waldo, Paul, Denver and Cleo, and two sisters, Viola,and Monica. She was also preceded by one grandchild, Michael Fluharty. Services for LaVerna M. Watson will be Thursday, October 28, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. (Ohio time) in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio, with Father Thomas Oedy officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27. Memorials in the name of LaVerna M.
