Krill, age 73, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 5:16 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2005, at the Dilworth Center of Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Montpelier, Ohio, where she was a patient. Caryl was an active volunteer in her community and her church. She was a member of the Emanuel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She served in many offices and as vice president of the Defiance District and as vice-president and president of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Women, attended the Lakeside Conference for twenty-five years, was a past lay representative to the Jurisdictional Conference and was also a delegate to the General Conference of the United Methodist Church. She had also served as head of the School of Christian Mission in Ada, Ohio. She was a member of Evening Star Chapter # 14, Order of the Eastern Star, of which she was past Worthy Matron. She was a volunteer at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, served as a volunteer for the Northwest Ohio Crisis Line, and was a founding member and current Executive Director of the Edgerton Free Store. Caryl J. Krill was born March 8, 1932, in Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Marvin A. and Pauline M. (Heisler) Mast. She married Dale F. Krill on December 28, 1950, in Edgerton, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Caryl is survived by two daughters, Marcia (Rob) Atwell, of Tampa, Florida, Sandra (Dave) Thiel, of Edgerton, Ohio, and one son, Bruce Krill, of Edgerton, Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren and one sister, Hilda (Rodger) Sharp, of Lake, Michigan. A memorial service for Caryl J. Krill will be held Saturday, May 7, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Edgerton United Methodist Church with Reverend Rae Lynn Scleif, District Superintendent of the United Methodist Church Defiance District, officiating. Memorials in the name of Caryl J. Krill may be given to the Edgerton Free Store, Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers - Hospice Care or to the Emanuel United Methodist Church.
