James L. Paxton, 68 years, of Edgerton, died at 9:35 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Harborside Healthcare of Northwest Ohio, Bryan, Ohio, where he had been a resident. Mr. Paxton was a shipping foreman for ITT - Higbie, Archbold, for 25 years, retiring in 1998. He attended New Life Temple, Bryan, Ohio. James L. Paxton was born on May 25, 1938, in Edgerton, Ohio, the son of Raymond and Ola (Stotz) Paxton. Surviving Mr. Paxton are two daughters, Janie (Lennie) Rivera, of Vidalia, Georgia, and Kelly Wright of Bryan; a son, Richard (Sondra) Paxton, of Bryan; five grandchildren, Danielle Pacey, Sydni and Mackenzi Rivera, Alexandra and Marissa Wright; his former spouse, Cynthia Paxton, of Bryan; two brothers, Wilbur “Bud” (Gertie) Paxton, of Bryan and Raymond (Paulette) Paxton, of Coldwater, Michigan; four sisters, Evelyn Klopfenstein, of Hillsboro, Ohio, Irene Lane, of Bowling Green, Ohio, Shirley (John) Cottrell, of Holly Springs, Mississippi, and Judith (Doug) Carr, of Bloomdale, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Jordan Rivera, and three brothers, Richard, Harold and Robert Paxton. Funeral services for James L. Paxton will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2007, at the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor Mark Holbrook officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Paxton will be held on Friday, March 9, 2007, from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
