Marlene Therese Ferguson, 42 years, of Ney, Ohio, died suddenly on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, in her residence. A homemaker, Marlene and her daughter were the owners of Little Lickcreek Rabbitry. Marlene was very active in the Defiance Area Rabbit Breeders, where she served as an officer. She was also a 4-H advisor with the B-Square and Black Swamp 4-H clubs. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Defiance, Ohio. Marlene Therese Ferguson was born on May 1, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Gerald and Dorothy (Mason) Ignasiak. She married David Ferguson on August 9, 1986, at Southgate, Michigan, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Marlene is survived by three daughters, Candace, Caitlin and Cathryn Ferguson, all at home; two sisters, Nancy (Donald) Tomblin, of Pioneer, Ohio, and Carol Ignasiak, of Bryan, Ohio; and one brother, Ronald Ignasiak, of Bellville, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services for Marlene Therese Ferguson will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2007, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 510 Jackson Street, Defiance, Ohio, with Father Dennis Walsh officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation for Marlene Therese Ferguson will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Memorials in the name of Marlene Therese Ferguson may be given to St. John’s Catholic Church.
