View Video Tribute Marsha L. Beattie, age 49, of rural Edon, Ohio, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Okaloosa County Medical Center in Crestview, Florida, after an illness of one and one half years. Marsha was employed by the Ohio Art Company as a forklift operator in the Lithograph Department with thirty years of service. Recently she owned and operated Stoney's Carryout at Nettle Lake. She was a member of the Edon Church of Christ and the Paper Workers Local at Ohio Art. Marsha L. Beattie was born on November 26, 1957, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Hollis Dale and Barbara Etta (Richards) Hake. She married Gary L. Beattie on January 12, 1985, in Bryan, Ohio, and he survives. In addition to her husband, Marsha is survived by her mother, Barbara Hake, of Edon, Ohio, two daughters, Erica Beattie, with the United States Air Force stationed in Crestview, Florida, and Stacy Beattie, of Stryker, Ohio, attending Northwest State Community College, her siblings, Kathryn Chesarino, of Bedford, Ohio, Virginia (Don) Hixson, in Saudi Arabia, Janice (Rex) Snyder, of Edon, Ohio, David (Betty) Hake, of Crocker, Missouri, Kenneth, Hake, of Edon, Ohio, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Hollis Dale Hake, in 1993. Services for Marsha L. Beattie will be on Saturday, April 28, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in the Edon Church of Christ with Pastor Dean Phillips officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, April 27, 2007, from 4-9 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home in Edon, Ohio. Interment will be private. In lieu of floral arrangements, memorials in the name of Marsha L. Beattie may be given to Girls Athletics at the Edon Schools.
