Elsa C. Moffett, age 100, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at Parkview Nursing Center in Edgerton, where she was a resident. Mrs. Moffett attended the University of Toledo for two years and worked in the Toledo Public Library system for thirteen years prior to moving to Edgerton in 1940 with her husband, Herald, where they operated Moffett Drug Store together until his death. She was also a librarian at the Edgerton Public Library for fifteen years. She was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, the Minnie Spangler Circle of the United Methodist Women, and the Edgerton Garden Club. Elsa C. Moffett was born December 10, 1903, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Louis and Louise (Hoffman) Harpst. She married Herald A. Moffett on May 14, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1968. Mrs. Moffett is survived by one daughter, Catherine (John) Letsinger, of Fishers, Indiana, and one son, Richard (Vicki) Moffett, of Edgerton, Ohio. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Herald, she was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Services for Elsa C. Moffett will be Friday, September 10, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio with Pastor James Barkenquast officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 9. Memorials in the name of Elsa C. Moffett may be given to the Friends of the Edgerton Public Library.
