John L. Clifton, 92 years, of Bryan, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Harborside Healthcare of Northwest Ohio, Bryan, where he had been a resident the past few months. Mr. Clifton was an Iron Worker/Welder, working out of Local 147 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he worked on building the Allen County Memorial Coliseum. He also lived in Florida for 50 years and worked at Cape Kennedy Space Center, working on the Flight Hangers and also worked on Launch Preparation Devises. John L. Clifton was born on September 22, 1912, in Millcreek Township, Williams County, Ohio, the son of Enoch and Myrtle (Altaffer) Clifton. He was married to Pauline Titus and Maureen Tuttle, both have preceded him in death. Surviving Mr. Clifton are his six children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, Pauline and Maureen, two brothers, Charles and Arthur Clifton and two sisters, Grace Galloway and Dorothy McBride. There will be no visitation or services. Private interment took place in Franklin Cemetery. Arrangements by Krill Funeral Service, Bryan, Ohio.
