Ruth V. Zimmerman

Ruth V. Zimmerman, age 93, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 1:33 a.m., on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Community Memorial Hospital in Hicksville, Ohio, where she was a patient. Mrs. Zimmerman was employed as a cook with the Edgerton Local Schools, retiring on June 1, 1970, with twenty years of service. She also was employed by Dolly’s Restaurant for thirteen years, Bob’s Dairy Bar for seventeen years and Park View Nursing Center for three years. She was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Pythian Sisters, attended Soul’s Harbor Church in Montpelier and currently attended the Victory Barn Church in Edgerton. Ruth V. Zimmerman was born on October 17, 1914, near Edgerton, Ohio, the daughter of Peter J. and Nancy Malinda (Moran) Theisen. Mrs. Zimmerman is survived by one son, Jerry R. Zimmerman, of Edgerton, Ohio, one grandson, Paul J. (Janet) Zimmerman, of Butler, Indiana, two great-granddaughters, Kristen Marie and Katie Lynn Zimmerman, one stepgreat-grandson, Michael Hartman, and a sister-in-law, Ialeene Theisen, of Edgerton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Naomi Zimmerman, and her brother, Paul Theisen. Services for Ruth V. Zimmerman will be on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Victory Barn Church near Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Rosene Short officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 2, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, Ohio. Memorials in the name of Ruth V. Zimmerman may be given to Gideons International for the contribution of King James Version Bibles.
