Mary Alice Leidigh, 95 years, of Thomasville, North Carolina, and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, died on Monday, March 26, 2007, in her North Carolina residence. A devoted and loving homemaker, Mary had also been employed at Spangler Candy Company, Ruth Restaurant and Murphy’s Department Store. She was formerly affiliated with the Bryan Alliance Church. Mary Alice Leidigh was born on August 6, 1911, in Mahaksa County, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer Ellsworth and Ida Mae (Nelson) Eddy. She married Charles B. Leidigh on December 9, 1931, in Hillsdale, Michigan, and he preceded her in death in November 1988. Surviving are three sons, Donald (Nixola) Leidigh, of Beech Creek, Pennsylvania, Robert (Carolyn) Leidigh, of Bryan, Ohio, and Charles (Camille) Leidigh, of Yaak, Montana, eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles B., one son, Paul Leidigh, one brother, Nelson Eddy, and two sisters, Iola Mae Grundman and Louise Williams. Funeral services for Mary Alice Leidigh will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Dr. Jeffery Woolum officiating. Interment will follow in Farmer Cemetery, Farmer, Ohio. Visitation for Mrs. Leidigh will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
