Roger J. Lirot, 80 years, of Bryan, died on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Center, Bryan, Ohio. A WW II Navy veteran, Roger was an x-ray technician for over 50 years, working for the former Cameron Hospital in Bryan from 1949-1960, Bowling Green State University Health Center from 1960-1975 and then moving to Florida and working for Martin-Mendelson Orthopedic Surgeons and Beitler Orthopedic Surgeons in Hollywood, Florida. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan, Ohio. Roger J. Lirot was born on June 16, 1926, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Isadore J. and Theresa M. (Stark) Lirot. He married Imogene L. Smith on September 11, 1947, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his son, Roger J. (Patricia Carosi) Lirot II, of Edinburg, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Alfred Lirot, of Bryan, and Walter Lirot, of Defiance; and one sister, Pauline Bloom, of Stryker, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Lavon, Earl, John and Charles Lirot, and four sisters, Helen Shetler, Marie Siebenaler, Vivian Shetler and Charlotte Lirot. Funeral services for Roger J. Lirot will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2007, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Charles Ritter officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. Visitation for Mr. Lirot will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2007, from 4-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, with recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorials in the name of Roger J. Lirot may be given to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
