Arnold H. Bok, age 84, of rural Hicksville, Ohio, died at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Hickory Creek Care Center in Hicksville, where she was a patient. Mr. Bok was a 1941 graduate of Farmer High School and served in the United States Army during World War II as a military police officer. He was a farmer and also a boiler operator and had been employed by the Hollabird Company, Defiance Hospital, Pet Milk and LaChoy Foods over the years. He was also a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton. Arnold Bok was born on June 30, 1922, near Sherwood, Ohio, the son of Enos and Eliese (Huth) Bok. He married Ruby M. Hoffman on October 5, 1946, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton, and she preceded him in death on May 9, 2006. Mr. Bok is survived by three sons, Paul (Linda) Bok, of Springfield, Ohio, Mark Bok and Steve (Shawna) Bok, both of Hicksville, Ohio, one daughter, Margaret (Michael) Latimer, of Jacksonville, Florida, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Reverend Wilbert Bok and Delbert Bok, both of Sherwood, Ohio, and two sisters, Mary Zacharias, of Marysville, Ohio, and Elma Kane, of Bay Village, Ohio. Services for Arnold H. Bok will be on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton, Ohio, with Pastor Chris Sigmon officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Cemetery with grave side military rites conducted by the Farmer American Legion. Visitation will be in the Krill Funeral Home in Edgerton, Ohio, from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30. Memorials in the name of Arnold H. Bok may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church.
